Jeju City Mayor Kim Wan-geun (김완근) has initiated a "village tour" to improve communication with residents by visiting areas that have typically been hard to reach through administrative channels.

The mayor’s first stop was Biyangdo (비양도), where he met with residents and Haenyeo(해녀) women divers to discuss concerns over flooded roads, aging breakwaters, and island living challenges.

Proposals collected during the tour will be verified on-site, and the city will review possible solutions before informing the individuals who made the suggestions of the outcomes.

Jeju City plans to conduct these village tours year-round and hold meetings to discuss the findings.

침수 도로와
파손된 노후 방파제 등 불편사항과
부속 섬 거주에 따른 애로사항을 청취했습니다.


투어에서 접수된 건의사항은
현장 확인을 거쳐 조치 방안을 검토하고
처리 결과를 건의자에게 안내할 예정입니다.

제주시는
연중 지속적으로 마을투어를 진행하고
보고회 등을 개최할 계획입니다.
