Starting this month, Seogwipo will send car penalty notices and regular inspection reminders through electronic documents via KakaoTalk.

In an effort to enhance convenience for citizens and promote carbon neutrality, the city announced it will replace the previous system of sending over 100,000 car penalty notices and inspection reminders by mail each year. These notices will now be delivered as mobile notifications.

Additionally, recipients can pay fines easily using simplified payment services like KakaoPay linked to the notice.

The city expects this service will not only improve penalty collection rates but also save about 15% in budget costs compared to the previous mail system.

이달부터 자동차 과태료 체납고지서와 정기검사 안내문이
카카오톡 전자 문서를 통해 발송됩니다.


서귀포시는 시민들의 편의와 탄소중립 실천을 위해
그동안 우편으로 발송하던 연간 10만여 건 이상의
자동차 과태료 체납고지서와 정기검사 안내문을
모바일 고지서로 전송한다고 밝혔습니다.

또 고지서에 연결된 카카오페이 등의 간편결제 서비스로
과태료를 납부할 수 있습니다.

서귀포시는 이번 서비스로 과태료 징수율 향상과 함께
기존 우편발송에 비해 15% 정도의 예산 절감 효과가 있을 것으로 기대하고 있습니다.
