Jeju has designated the winter road snow removal period from December 1 to March 15 and has developed various measures to address the challenges of winter weather.

Measures include pre-deploying snow removal equipment, using snow detection systems, increasing road patrols, and coordinating closures through a unified system with relevant agencies.

The province will add 14 private snow removal vehicles to its fleet of 32 for key roads like Pyeonghwa-road and 5.16 Road.

Jeju secured 9,500 tons of salt and calcium chloride, exceeding standard reserves, to ensure a stable winter supply.



겨울철 도로 제설 대응책 마련…장비 추가 확보

제주특별자치도가
다음달 1일부터 3월 15일까지를
겨울철 도로 제설 기간으로 정하고 다양한 대책을 마련해 시행합니다.


기상예보에 따른 제설장비 사전 배치와
적설감지 시스템 운영,
도로 순찰 강화,
도로 통제 등 유관기관과 함께 일원화된 대응체계를 구축합니다.

특히 자체 보유 제설장비 32대에 더해
민간장비 14대를 추가 확보하고
평화로와 5.16도로 등
주요 도로의 제설작업을 강화한다는 계획입니다.


또 행정시와 읍면의 제설제 부족 사태를 방지하기 위해
비축 기준을 초과한
9천 500톤의 소금과 염화칼슘을 확보해 놓고 있습니다.
