50 individuals convicted for offenses regarding the April 3rd Incident have been acquitted in a retrial.

The Jeju District Court's retrial for the 4.3 incident recently concluded that there was no evidence to support the charges against all 50 individuals.

Since the first ruling in 2022, 2,085 of the 2,530 individuals listed in the military trial prisoner records for the Jeju 4.3 incident have had their honor restored.

The number of victims acquitted in the general trials has increased to a total of 269.

제주지방법원 4.3 재심 재판부는
최근 검찰 합동수행단이 청구한
군사재판과 일반재판 수형인 50명 전원에게
혐의를 입증할 증거가 없다며 무죄를 선고했습니다.

이로써 지난 2022년 첫 선고 이후 현재까지
군사재판 수형인 명부에 있는
2천 5백 30명 가운데
2천 85명의 명예가 회복됐습니다.

군사재판과 더불어
무죄 선고를 받은
일반 재판 수형인 희생자 269명으로 늘어났습니다.
