With the weather getting colder, respiratory infections are on the rise, prompting a call for caution.

Jeju Province reported that earlier this month, the number of doctor visits for influenza virus infections was 6.9 per 1,000 outpatient visits, which has decreased compared to the previous week. However, it remains higher than the national average of 4.

Additionally, whooping cough has been spreading across the country, particularly among children and adolescents aged 7 to 19. The first death from whooping cough was reported in another region, and in Jeju, approximately 100 cases have been reported in the past month.

The government is urging the public to follow preventive measures such as vaccinations and personal hygiene practices to combat respiratory infections.

호흡기 감염병 예방을 위한 접종과 함께
개인 위생 수칙 준수를 당부하고 있습니다.
