Due to disagreements between Jeju Province and Jeju Provincial Council over the new year's budget, and the added impact of President Yoon's martial law declaration, the final processing of the budget has been postponed to the 10th.

The Provincial Council automatically adjourned the 2nd plenary session of the 433rd Regular Session, scheduled for December 4th.
The new year’s budget and unresolved issues from the 433rd session will be addressed at the first plenary meeting of the 434th extraordinary session on the 10th.
The provincial council plans to cut approximately 60 billion KRW from the budget and allocate more funds to local administrative areas, while Jeju Province opposes the large cuts.

The province is also questioning the validity of some proposed increases.

지난4일 예정이었던 제433회 제2차 정례회 제2차 본회의를
자동 폐회하고
오는 10일 열리는
제434회 임시회 제1차 본회의에서
새해 예산안을 포함해
433회 미처리 안건을 처리하기로 했습니다.

현재 도의회는
600억 안팎을 삭감해
읍면동 등의 예산에 증액하겠다는 입장이고,
제주도는
삭감 규모가 크다며 반대하며
일부 증액사업에 대해
타당성을 따져 부동의 입장을 전달한 것으로 알려지고 있습니다.
