Ahead of the introduction of AI-powered digital textbooks, the Jeju Education Office is expanding the number of pilot and research schools applying digital-based innovative teaching models.

This year, 17 schools used educational software similar to AI digital textbooks, and starting next year, 21 schools will implement the initiative.

Additionally, teacher training for the use of AI digital textbooks began on November 18.

The education authorities plan to introduce AI digital textbooks in English, mathematics, and information technology classes for 3rd and 4th graders in elementary school, 1st-year middle school students, and 1st-year high school students starting in the new academic year.

제주도교육청은
올해 인공지능 디지털교과서와 유사한 교육소프트웨어를 활용하는
시범, 연구학교를 17군데 운영한데 이어
내년에는 21개교로 확대합니다.

이 밖에도 최근 공개된 인공지능 디지털교과서 활용을 위한
교사 연수를 지난 달 18일부터 진행하고 있습니다.

한편 교육당국은 내년 신학기부터
초등학교 3·4학년과 중학교 1학년, 고등학교 1년을 대상으로
영어와 수학, 정보 교과에 처음으로 도입합니다.
