The Jeju 4.3 Peace Foundation, the Seoul Museum of History, and a museum in Bosnia have jointly organized the exhibition "Childhood Under the Siege", now on display at the Jeju 4.3 Peace Memorial Hall’s special exhibition room until May 6th of next year.

The exhibition focuses on the lives of children in Sarajevo, Bosnia, who lived through the Siege of Sarajevo from 1992 to 1996. It showcases artifacts that represent the daily lives of children during the war.
On display are a girl’s ballet shoes, record-setting war supplies, and a comic book shielding children from shrapnel, showcasing children's resilience during war.
The Jeju 4.3 Peace Foundation expressed that the exhibition resonates with the childhood experiences of the 4.3 victims' families, emphasizing shared themes of suffering and recovery



'전쟁을 겪은 어린이들의 이야기' 전시 개최

제주 4.3 평화재단과

<전쟁을 겪은 어린이들의 이야기>전시가
내년 5월 6일까지
제주 4.3평화기념관 기획전시실에서 열리고 있습니다.

이번 전시는
1992년부터 1996년까지 지속된 포위전을 겪은 보스니아 사라예보
(seh· ruh·yay· vow) 어린이들의
일상을 재현하는 전시물을 선이고 있습니다.

발레리나를 꿈꾸던 소녀의 발레슈즈,
기네스 세계신기록에 오른 전쟁 지원품,
포탄으로부터 지켜준 만화책 등
당시 어린이들이 사용했던
물건들을 통해
전쟁의 고통을 회복해가는 어린이들의 모습을 담았습니다.

제주 4.3 평화재단은
이번 전시가
4.3 유족들의 어린시절의
삶과 맞닿아 있다고 의미를 밝혔습니다.
