Last autumn, Jeju experienced the highest temperatures on record, with prolonged early autumn heatwaves, and saw more rainfall than usual.

According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, the average temperature in Jeju last fall was 21.2°C, which was 2.7°C higher than the average and marked the highest on record.

Both the average maximum temperature (24.3°C) and the average minimum temperature (18.4°C) were over 2°C higher than normal, setting new all-time highs.

A high-pressure system over the surrounding region led to intense sunlight, and warm air flowing from the south caused a significant rise in temperatures.

Meanwhile, rainfall during the fall was significantly higher, with two heavy rainfalls and frequent rain in October. The total rainfall reached 555.8mm, which is 183.1mm more than the average, and the number of rainy days was 39.3, the second-highest on record.

강수량도 평년보다 많았던 것으로 조사됐습니다.

기상청에 따르면
지난 가을철 제주도 평균기온은
평년보다 2.7도 높은 21.2도로 역대 1위를 기록했습니다.

평균 최고기온과 평균최저기온 역시
각각 24.3도와 18.4도로
평년보다 2도 이상 높아 관측 이래 가장 높았습니다.

가을철 우리나라 주변 상공에 고기압성 흐름이 형성되면서
강한 햇볕의 영향을 받았고
남쪽에서 유입된 따뜻한 공기로
기온이 크게 상승한 것으로 분석됐습니다.

한편 가을철 강수량은 두차례 많은 비와 10월의 잦은 비로 인해
평년보다 183.1mm 많은 555.8mm를 기록했고
강수 일수는 39.3일로 역대 2위 기록을 세웠습니다.
