This year, the sea surface temperature in Korea’s waters during the autumn was the highest in the past decade.

According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, the sea surface temperature in Korea’s waters was 23.6°C, while the southern sea near Jeju recorded 24.6°C, 2.5°C higher than the 10-year average and the highest in the past decade.

The Korea Meteorological Administration explained that the higher sea surface temperatures contributed to warming the surrounding air, which amplified the increase in temperatures across the country during the fall.

가을철 우리나라의 기온 증가 효과를 더한 것으로 분석했습니다.
