The Jeju Photo Journalists Association issued a statement urging the People’s Power Party to actively pursue the impeachment of President Yoon Suk Yeol (윤석열), who is facing charges of insurrection.

The association emphasized that had martial law not been prevented, it could have led to significant casualties, similar to the Jeju 4.3 Incident. They argued that impeachment is the only way to stabilize the political situation.

The group also pointed out that the public is outraged by the announcement of actions taken by the party leader and the Prime Minister, which are not granted by the Constitution. They called on the party to take a strong stance in supporting the impeachment of the president.
