Jeju Youth Explore Future Careers
Young-looking middle school students are participating in an in-flight crew experience.
With the help of seniors from the Department of Airline Services, they prepare beverages for passengers, nurturing dreams for their future careers.
The enthusiasm is high among students exploring dental prosthetics, such as creating gold crowns for teeth.
As they learn the names of teeth one by one, their initial unfamiliarity with dental prosthetics gradually transforms into growing interest.

I didn't even know there was a dental prosthetics field, and I didn’t know much about teeth before. But through this opportunity, I learned more detailed things, like the names of teeth.
This program was organized by the Jeju Provincial Office of Education to provide middle school students with various career and job experience opportunities.
In collaboration with Jeju Tourism University, it introduced 10 specialized departments, allowing youth to explore diverse future career options.

I came to the Department of Culinary Arts and tried making new dishes. I even made spaghetti for the first time, which was really fun. It was a great experience for career exploration.
University students from the respective departments volunteered to assist, sharing their own career concerns and experiences with the middle school participants.

In Jeju, there aren't many institutions where students can explore careers or jobs. When I heard about this program organized by the Office of Education, connecting students with local institutions and departments for career experiences, I immediately applied for our students.
The university views this as a valuable opportunity to naturally showcase its specialized programs, which could have a positive impact in the increasingly competitive student recruitment landscape.
Most importantly, in Jeju, where job experience centers and hands-on educational infrastructure are limited, this program serves as a breakthrough, providing youth with diverse career and job exploration opportunities through the integration of local university courses.

제주관광대학과 공동으로 10개의 특화된 학과를 소개하고
청소년들이
다양한 미래 직업을 체험할 수 있도록 했습니다.

호텔 조리학과에 와서 새로운 만들기 체험도 해보고 스파게티를
처음으로 한번 만들어 봐서 재미있었고 진로 체험에 대해서 되게

자신들이 겪었던 진로에 대한 고민을 함께 공유하는 시간도 갖습니다.
