Seogwipo City will continue its "Youth Care Project" this year, identifying and supporting at-risk youth, young adults, and middle-aged individuals.

Even for those in the youth and young adult age groups who receive public benefits like emergency welfare, many still face difficulties such as financial hardship. To address this, Seogwipo City uses funds from the Community Chest of Korea to provide support for living expenses, medical bills, and caregiving costs. Last year, 28 households received assistance through this program.

Seogwipo plans to continue building a strong welfare safety net by fostering public-private collaboration and implementing practical programs to support individuals facing crises.

'청춘 돌봄 사업'을 지속 추진합니다.

긴급복지 등 공적급여를 지원받아도
생계 곤란 등 어려움을 겪는 청장년층에 대해
사회복지공동모금회 기금을 활용해
생계비와 의료비,
간병비 등을 지원하는 사업으로
지난해의 경우 28가구에 대해 지원이 이뤄졌습니다.

서귀포시는
앞으로도 위기 청장년을 지원하기 위해
민관이 협력해
촘촘한 복지 안전망을 구축하고
실질적인 도움이 되는 사업을 추진할 방침입니다.
