Eight out of ten small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Jeju have no specific or have uncertain hiring plans for the first half of this year.

According to a survey conducted by the Jeju Regional Headquarters of the Korea Federation of SMEs, which targeted 84 local SMEs, 81% of the companies responded that they either have no hiring plans, or their plans are undecided or flexible.

This response rate represents a 16 percentage point increase compared to the second half of last year, which is believed to be influenced by the economic downturn and labor cost burdens.

Additionally, the average number of hires made in the second half of last year was 0.6, while the hiring plan for the first half of this year is an average of 0.3.

미정 또는 유동적이라고 응답했습니다.

이 같은 응답 비율은
지난해 하반기 대비 16%포인트 증가한 수치로
불확실한 경기 전망과 인건비 부담 등이
영향을 미친 것으로 풀이됩니다.

또한 지난해 하반기 채용실적은 평균 0.6명,
올해 상반기 채용계획은 평균 0.3명으로 조사됐습니다.
