The price of winter vegetables in Jeju has surged recently, and some items are facing significant price fluctuations due to abnormal weather conditions, leading to greater damage for farmers.

According to Jeju Island, as of the 13th, the average shipment prices for major winter vegetables were approximately 28,000 KRW for 20 kg of winter radishes and 69,000 KRW for carrots, nearly three times higher than a year ago.

For 8 kg of cabbage, the price was 13,900 KRW, more than double compared to 4,900 KRW a year ago.

In contrast, soybeans, which account for 90% of national production, are facing a sharp drop in the quality of their harvest, with the ratio of marketable soybeans falling by nearly 40% compared to the previous year.

The amount purchased by the government has also decreased, and it is expected that farmers' income will be about half of the usual level.

당근은 6만 9천 원으로
1년 전보다 3배 가까이 올랐습니다.

8kg 기준 양배추는 1만 3천 900원으로
1년 전 4천 9백원에 비해
배 이상 높은 시세를 보이고 있습니다.

반면 전국 생산량의 90%를 차지하는 콩은
상품 비율이
전년 대비 40% 가까이 떨어지고
수매량 마저 줄면서
농가 소득도 평년 대비 절반 수준에 머물 것으로 전망됩니다.
