A survey has revealed that 7 out of 10 small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Jeju are facing difficulties in managing funds for the upcoming Lunar New Year.

The Jeju regional office of the Korea Federation of SMEs conducted a survey on 62 local SMEs to assess their funding needs for this year’s Lunar New Year. The results showed that 70.9% of respondents reported financial difficulties, an increase of 2.9 percentage points compared to last year’s survey.

Key factors contributing to these financial challenges include sluggish sales and rising prices of raw materials.

On average, each company requires approximately 121 million KRW to cover expenses for the Lunar New Year period.
In addition, the survey also revealed a funding shortfall of approximately 48 million KRW, meaning companies are lacking 39.6% of the necessary funds.

지난해 설보다 2.9%포인트 증가한 응답 비율로
판매부진과 원부자재 가격 상승 등이
자금사정을 곤란하게 하는 주요 원인으로 꼽혔습니다.

이번 설을 보내기 위해
업체당 평균 1억2천100여만원이 필요한 것으로 조사됐으며,
이 중 부족한 자금은 4천800여만원으로
필요자금 대비 39.6%가 부족한 것으로 나타났습니다.
