Jeju's Health and Environmental Research Institute announced that its investigation into norovirus contamination in groundwater found no traces of the virus in the samples tested.

The study was conducted at 20 locations, including general restaurants, food service centers, and food manufacturers, which use groundwater as water for food purposes. The results showed that no norovirus was detected.

Norovirus is a foodborne pathogen with no vaccine or specific treatment. It can be transmitted through consumption of contaminated water or food, or by contact with infected individuals.

식품제조업체 등 20개소를 대상으로 이뤄졌으며
노로바이러스가
전혀 검출되지 않았다고 설명했습니다.

노로바이러스는
백신과 치료제가 없는 식중독 병원체로
오염된 물이나 음식 섭취,
환자 접촉 등으로 감염될 수 있습니다.
