The number of tourists visiting Jeju during this year's Lunar New Year holiday is expected to decrease compared to last year.

According to the Jeju Tourism Association, it is predicted that 206,000 visitors will visit Jeju during the 6-day Lunar New Year period, from January 25th to 30th, which is a 9.6% drop compared to last year's holiday.

On a daily basis, the highest number of visitors is expected to be 40,000 on the first day of the holiday, January 25th.

This decrease in the number of tourists is attributed to a 7.2% reduction in domestic flights compared to last year, as well as a sluggish economy and reduced travel sentiment due to the aviation accident.

설 연휴기간 국내선 항공편이 전년 대비 7.2% 줄어들고
소비 침체와
항공기 사고에 따른
여행심리 위축 등이 맞물리면서
관광객 감소에 영향을 끼친 것으로 보입니다.
