Tuition fees at colleges in Jeju are set to rise significantly this year, adding to the financial burden on students and parents.

Jeju Halla University recently held a tuition review committee meeting and decided to increase tuition by an average of 5.26% this year to enhance the educational environment and provide better student support.

Jeju Tourism University, citing financial difficulties, will raise tuition by 5.49% this year, following a 5.62% increase last year, reaching the legal maximum limit.

On the other hand, Jeju National University and Jeju International University, a private university, have decided to freeze their tuition fees in accordance with the government's policy.
