Since the implementation of the Anti-Stalking Act, stalking-related reports in Jeju have decreased each year.

According to Jeju Provisional Police Agency, reports of stalking crimes reported to the 112 emergency number were 476 cases in 2022,
383 cases in 2023, and 358 cases last year, showing a 6.5% decrease
compared to the previous year.

As of the end of last year, Jeju’s stalking crime rate per 100,000 residents was 53, which is 14.5% lower than the national average of 62.

Additionally, the case resolution rate for reported stalking crimes
in the province was 57.5%, higher than the national average.

스토킹처벌법이 시행된 이후
제주에서 관련 신고가 해마다 줄어들고 있습니다.

제주경찰청에 따르면
112로 접수된 제주 지역 스토킹 범죄 신고는
2022년 476건, 2023년 383건,
지난해에는 358건으로
전년보다 6.5% 가량 줄었습니다.

특히 지난해 말 기준
인구 10만명 당 제주지역 스토킹 범죄 신고건수는
53건으로
전국 평균 62건보다 14.5% 낮은 것으로 나타났습니다.

또 신고 건수 대비 사건처리율은
제주가 57.5%로
전국보다 높은 것으로 분석됐습니다.
