The number of one- and two-person households in Jeju continues to grow, while households with four or more members are steadily declining.

According to the Jeju Province, the proportion of one- and two-person households increased from 57.8% in 2019
to 61% in 2021, 62% in 2022, and 63.2% in 2023.

In contrast, households with four or more members decreased from 22.8% in 2019 to 19.3% in 2022 and 18.5% in 2023.
In response to this trend, Jeju plans to implement
customized housing policies focused on smaller households and supply 7,000 public housing units by 2026.



1~2인 가구 늘고 4인 이상 가구 감소세 이어져

제주지역의 1~2인 가구가 지속적으로 증가하는 한편
4인 이상 가구는 감소 추세를 이어가고 있습니다.

제주특별자치도에 따르면 2019년만 하더라도 57.8%의 1~2인 가구는 2021년 61%, 2022년 62%, 2023년은 63.2%로 늘어났습니다.

반면 4인 이상 가구는 2019년 22.8%에서
2022년 19.3%, 2023년 18.5%로 감소했습니다.

제주도는 1~2인 가구의 지속적인 증가추세에 맞춰
수요자 중심의 맞춤형 주거정책을 추진하고
2026년까지 공공주택 7천호를 공급한다는 계획입니다.
