Last year, Jeju recorded its lowest fine dust (PM2.5) levels since monitoring began in 2015.

According to the Ministry of Environment’s nationwide PM2.5 analysis, Jeju had the lowest concentration in Korea at 12.3 μg/m³, reaffirming its clean air quality.
This marks a 46% decrease from 22.6 μg/m³ in 2015.

Experts attribute this improvement to fine dust reduction policies, a decline in China’s air pollution levels, and an increase in rainfall days.

관측을 시작한 지난 2015년 이래 최저치를 기록했습니다.

환경부가 발표한 지난해 전국 초미세먼지 농도 분석 결과
제주는
1세제곱미터에 12.3마이크로그램으로
전국에서 가장 낮은 농도를 보이며
청정한 대기질을 다시 한번 확인했습니다.

특히 지난 2015년의
22.6마이크로그램에 비해 46% 감소한 것으로 나타났습니다.

이같은 현상은
미세먼지 저감정책과 중국의 미세먼지 농도 감소,
강수일수 증가 등이
주요 원인으로 분석되고 있습니다.
