Jeju is expanding its support program to prevent safety accidents among Haenyeo female divers.

This year, the province will distribute 300 smartwatches capable of monitoring heart rate and detecting falls.

Additionally, it will expand on-site safety education, with a particular focus on improving CPR skills.

Furthermore, Jeju Island plans to provide financial support for occupational disease treatment, distribute safety equipment including colored Haenyeo wetsuits and protective nets for diving buoys, expand coverage for safety insurance premiums, and implement allowances for elderly Haenyeo.

유색 해녀복과 태왁 보호망 등 안전장비 보급,
안전보험 가입비 확대,
고령해녀 수당 지급 등을 추진합니다.
