A delegation of students from Nanjing, China?a city that endured the Nanjing Massacre?is set to attend next month's 4.3 Memorial Ceremony.

According to the Jeju Provincial Office of Education, 28 participants?including 20 students and accompanying teachers from Nanjing?will attend the ceremony as part of a student exchange agreement signed with the Jiangsu Provincial Education Department in September last year.

The initiative seeks to raise global awareness of the Jeju 4.3 Incident while promoting the values of peace and human rights.
Nanjing endured the Nanjing Massacre in 1937, when more than 300,000 Chinese civilians and soldiers were killed in a large-scale atrocity by the Japanese army.

한편 중국 난징시는
지난 1937년 30만명 넘는 중국인이
일본군에 의해
대규모로 희생되는 이른바 난징대학살을 경험했습니다.
