The video of the original opera "Suni Samchon," (순이삼촌) based on the Jeju April 3rd Incident, will be screened in France.

According to the Jeju 4·3 Peace Foundation, the screening is part of an April cultural event held in Marmande, France.

As this marks the opera’s international premiere, the foundation is offering the screening free of charge.

In addition, banners introducing author of the novel “Suni Samchon” Hyun Ki-young (현기영), and Nobel laureate Han Kang (한강), will be displayed.

이번 오페라 상영은
프랑스 마르망드시의 4월 문화행사의 일환으로 마련됐습니다.

평화재단은
해외 첫 상영인 만큼 무료로 제공하는 한편
'순이삼촌' 원작 소설을 쓴 현기영 작가와
노벨문학생과 프랑스 메디치상을 수상한
한강 작가에 대한 소개 현수막도 함께 게시할 예정입니다.
