As climate change leads to an increase in invasive pests and diseases, Jeju Province is strengthening its monitoring of tree pests.

The Jeju World Heritage Headquarters announced it will intensively monitor trees along major roads and at tourist sites from this month through September.

The findings will be shared with relevant agencies to establish a timely joint pest control system.

Problematic pests identified through the survey will also be designated for pesticide registration trials next year, with suitable pesticide types to be selected and tested accordingly.

기후변화로 외래 병해충이 증가함에 따라
제주도가 수목 병해충 예찰을 강화합니다.

제주특별자치도 세계유산본부는 이달부터 오는 9월까지 관광지와 주요 도로변 수목병해충 예찰을 집중 실시한다고 밝혔습니다.

이번 조사 결과를 관계 기관과 공유하고
시기에 맞는 공동 방제 체계를 구축할 계획입니다.

또 문제가 되는 병해충은 내년 농약 직권등록 시험 대상으로 지정해 방제약종을 선별하고
농약 직권 등록 시험을 추진할 예정입니다.
