Jeju Province has been named the top metropolitan government in the Ministry of the Interior and Safety’s evaluation of the livelihood recovery consumer coupon program.

Strong promotion of the local currency Tamnaneunjeon led to application rates of 40 percent in the first round and 38 percent in the second, more than twice the national average.

A combined 187.1 billion won was distributed, with 177.7 billion won expected to be spent by the end of November.

The top ranking earned Jeju 500 million won in special government grants.

광역부문 최우수 지자체로 선정됐습니다.

특히 지역화폐인 탐나는전 신청을 적극 권장한 결과 신청률은 1차 40%, 2차 38%로
전국 평균의 2배를 넘어섰습니다.

또 소비쿠폰 1.2차를 합해 1천 871억 원을 지급한 가운데 지류를 제외하고 1천 777억 원을 소비기한인 11월 말까지 사용해 민생회생 경제에
도움을 줄 것으로 분석됐습니다.

제주도는 이번 최우수 지자체 선정으로
특별교부세 5억 원을 확보했습니다.
