Starting this year, Jeju will provide a Self-Reliance Grant for teen parents raising children while studying or working.

The allowance will be provided to households where both parents are aged 24 or younger and the household income is at or below 90 percent of the median income.

Single teen parents in the 65 to 90 percent income bracket are also included. Support is 200,000 won per person each month.

Applicants must show they have taken part in self-reliance activities within the past year. This includes education, job training, or employment.



올해부터 청소년부모에 자립촉진수당 지급…월 20만원

올해부터 자녀를 양육하며 학업과 취업을 병행하는 청소년부모의 자립을 돕기 위한 '자립촉진수당'이 지급됩니다.

제주특별자치도에 따르면 수당 지원 대상은 부모가 모두 만 24살 이하이면서
기준 중위소득 90% 이하인 가정입니다.

기준 중위소득 65% 초과 90% 이하의 청소년한부모도 포함되며
1인당 월 20만원이 지원됩니다.

다만 최근 1년 이내에 학업이나 직업훈련, 취업활동 등 자립활동에 참여하고 있는 경우에만 신청할 수 있습니다.
