With the launch of the third-term of the Jeju 4.3 Truth and Reconciliation Commission, applications are now being accepted for fact-finding on past incidents.

The Province will run dedicated service desks at the provincial government and both administrative cities for two years, through February 25, 2028.

Until now, applications had to be filed directly to the commission office in person or by mail. However, under a legal revision, submissions can now also be handled at the province and administrative city offices.

Eligible cases include anti-Japanese independence movements, mass civilian killings around the Korean War, and alleged human-rights abuses or fabricated cases under authoritarian rule.

과거사 진실 규명을 위한 절차가 시작됩니다.

제주특별자치도는
오는 2028년 2월 25일까지 2년 동안
도청과 양 행정시에 전담 창구를 운영합니다.

지금까지 진화위를 직접 방문하거나 우편으로만 접수해야 했지만
관련법의 개정으로
도청이나 행정시에서도 관련 절차를 진행할 수 있게 된 겁니다.

신청 대상은
항일 독립 운동과
한국전쟁 전후 민간인 집단 희생 사건,
권위주위 통치기 인권침해나 조작 의혹 사건 등입니다.
