The Jeju International Tourism Marathon Festival marks its 30th anniversary this year and will be held on its largest scale ever. The event is hosted by Jeju Province and organized by the Jeju Tourism Association.

The event, scheduled for June 7, will be divided between Gujwa (구좌) and Seongsan (성산) for the first time.

The full and half marathon courses will take place in Gujwa (구좌), while the 10-kilometer race will be held in Seongsan (성산).

A total of 14,200 runners have registered for the event, up 60 percent from last year, while the number of international participants has surpassed 1,400, more than triple the previous figure.

New mist sprayers have been installed along the course and additional water stations have been added.

In addition, personnel trained in CPR will also be stationed throughout the race route.

제주국제관광마라톤 축제가
올해 30주년을 맞아 사상 최대 규모로 열립니다.

오는 7일 열리게 되는 이번 마라톤 축제는
처음으로 구좌와 성산 지역으로 나눠 개최됩니다.

구좌에서는 풀코스와 하프코스, 성산에서는 10km로 진행됩니다.

참가 신청자는 1만 4천 200명으로 지난해보다 60% 늘었고
외국인은
1천 400명으로 3배를 넘어섰습니다.

제주도관광협회는
코스에 미스트 분사기를 새로 설치하고
급수대를 늘렸으며
심폐소생술 교육을 이수한 요원을 전 구간에 배치할 예정입니다.
