Jeju Province has submitted its first supplementary budget of the ninth elected administration to the provincial council, totaling 8.47 trillion won.
This marks an increase of 461 billion won from the existing budget. The funds were secured without issuing local bonds, drawing instead on non-tax revenue, state subsidies, and expenditure adjustments.
Key allocations include 42 billion won for the issuance of Tamnaneunjeon and 27.7 billion won for electric vehicle purchases, 8.56 billion won in fuel subsidies for fishermen, 6 billion won in interest subsidies for small businesses, and 3.4 billion won for public employment programs for middle-aged and older residents.
The budget also funds new key initiatives including 11 billion won for the Power-to-Hea (P2H) energy transition project, 1.4 billion won for an artificial intelligence conversion pilot for flounder aquaculture, and 1 billion won to develop a startup park.
Meanwhile, this year's funding for the 15-Minute City project, introduced by the previous provincial administration, was cut in full and reallocated to the supplementary budget.
