Jeju Province is implementing heat wave safety measures for 19,000 participants in self-sufficiency work programs, jobs for seniors and people with disabilities.

The 640 participants in self-sufficiency programs will each receive 160,000 won in the local currency Tamnaneunjeon. They will also get a summer goods set worth 150,000 won.

For seniors participating in public service activities, monthly activity hours during the hottest period will be reduced from 30 hours to 15.

The province will also adjust working hours for participants in disability employment programs, avoiding the hottest hours between noon and 5 p.m., while allowing more flexible workdays.

공익활동에 참여하는 어르신에 대해서는
혹서기 활동시간을
월 30시간에서 15시간으로 단축합니다.

또 장애인일자리 참여자에 대해서는
낮 12시부터
오후 5시 사이를 피해
근무시간을 조정하고
근무요일을 탄력적으로 바꾸는 방안도 함께 추진합니다.
