The number of hospitals in Jeju able to provide final treatment for critically ill emergency patients will increase to two.

The Ministry of Health and Welfare has designated two hospitals in Jeju as Regional Emergency Medical Centers under its re-designation evaluation, which is valid through 2029.

Jeju Halla Hospital was re-designated as an emergency medical center, and Jeju National University Hospital was newly selected.
The regional medical centers serve as a hub of the local emergency medical system, focusing on treatment for critically ill patients.

It also accepts patients transferred from other institutions to provide final treatment.

권역응급의료센터는
중증응급환자를 중심으로 진료하고
다른 의료기관에서
이송 또는 전원되는 환자를 받아
최종치료를 제공하는
지역 응급의료체계의 거점 기관입니다.
