The Jeju Self-Governing Police Agency is carrying out special coastal patrols for the summer season.

The patrols divide Jeju City and Seogwipo City into five zones, focusing on beaches, harbors, and coastal areas where people swim.

In particular, officials will inspect crime prevention and safety facilities, including CCTV cameras and emergency call boxes around beaches, as well as any damage to cliff-edge and coastal fall-prevention barriers.

Over the past three years, 245 water accidents occurred in the Jeju region, and 44 percent of them were concentrated in the summer months of June through August.

제주시와 서귀포시를 5개 권역으로 나눠
해수욕장과 포구,
연안 물놀이 지역을 중심으로 이뤄집니다.

특히 해수욕장 주변의 CCTV와 비상벨 작동 여부,
해안가 추락 방지시설의 파손 여부 등
범죄 안전 예방시설도 점검합니다.

최근 3년간 제주지역에서 발생한 수난사고는 245건으로
이 가운데 44%가
여름철인 6월부터 8월 사이에 집중됐습니다.
