More Japanese arriving on cruise ships
5,000+ so far this year

More Japanese people are visiting the island by cruise ship.

According to the Jeju Tourism Organization, more than 5,000 Japanese tourists have arrived so far this year on the Diamond Princess. That’s almost double the total at this point last year.

Another ship is resuming service between Japan and Jeju after a two-year hiatus. The 20,000-ton vessel will be bringing a projected 500 Japanese tourists to the island on Wednesday.

일본인 크루즈 관광객 전년보다 증가

크루즈를 통해 제주를 찾는 일본인 관광객이 지난해보다 늘어났습니다.

제주관광공사에 따르면 일본 연안과 제주를 오가는 국제크루즈선인 다이아몬드 프린세스를 이용해 올해 제주를 찾는 일본인 관광객은 5천여 명으로 지난해 보다 두 배 가까이 증가했습니다.

더구나 2년 만에 운항이 재개된 2만 톤급 크루즈선을 통해 오는 12일, 일본인 관광객 5백여 명이 제주를 찾을 예정입니다.
