Provincial General Service Office to stay open Friday
Most public offices to close

The Provincial General Service Office will remain open this Friday, which Seoul designated a temporary holiday in conjunction with Liberation Day, which falls on Saturday.

Officials say they decided to keep it open to minimize the hassle for local residents, as most public offices on the island will be closed Friday. Locals will be able to use the General Service Office for passport issuance and other civil affairs.

Meanwhile, the Central Government Office in Jeju will be partially open on Liberation Day, itself, from nine a.m. to six p.m. The public will be allowed to use the walking trail, playground, and underground parking lot.

광복절 임시공휴일인 14일에도 제주도청 민원실은 정상 운영됩니다.

제주도는 14일, 공공기관 휴무에 따른 주민불편을 최소화하기 위해 민원실은 정상 운영해 여권 신청 등 각종 민원사무를 처리할 계획입니다.

정부제주지방합동청사도 광복70년을 맞아 광복절인 토요일 오전 9시부터 오후 6시까지 사무실을 제외한 산책로와 놀이터, 지하주차장을 주민들에게 개방합니다.
