17 stores caught for mislabeling pork
Inspectors conclude 40-day probe of local restaurants, grocery stores

Authorities recently caught a number of local stores for violating ingredient labeling regulations for pork.

The Jeju office of the National Agricultural Products Quality Management Service investigated local restaurants and grocery stores for 40 days beginning July 13th.

It ended up charging 7 companies for mislabeling items. Another ten were fined 3 million won each for not affixing any labels of origin whatsoever to their products.



휴가철 원산지 표시 위반 17곳 적발

수입산 돼지고기를 국내산으로 속이는 등 원산지를 허위로 표시한 업체들이 적발됐습니다.

국립농산물품질관리원 제주지원은 휴가철을 맞아 지난달 13일부터 최근까지 40일 동안 도내 음식점과 농식품판매점에 대한 원산지 단속을 벌인 결과 17곳이 적발됐다고 밝혔습니다.

이 가운데 원산지를 허위로 표시한 업체 7곳을 형사입건하고, 원산지를 표시하지않은 10곳에 대해 300여만 원의 과태료를 부과했습니다.
