Seogwipo Chilsimni Festival begins October 2

The three-day Seogwipo Chilsimni Festival will begin October 2nd near (자구리) Jaguri Park.

This is the 21st edition of the festival, which is one of the main events on the Seogwipo calendar. The theme this year is “What is Chilsimni?.” Organizers will kick off the event with a parade and traditional outdoor performances, which highlight the features of local communities.

It will also include a singing contest, a Jeju dialect speech contest, and performances by local musicians.

Organizers have moved the festival this year: it used to be held at (서복) Seobok Exhibition Hall. Also of note: restaurants on Chilsimni Food Street will be offering discounts for the duration of the event.

서귀포칠십리축제 다음달 2~4일 개최

제21회 서귀포칠십리축제가 다음달 2일부터 사흘동안 서귀포시 자구리공원 일대에서 열립니다.

'칠십리가 뭐꽈'를 주제로 열리는 이번 축제는 칠십리 퍼레이드와 각 마을의 이야기를 풀어낸 마당놀이로 막을 올리게 됩니다.

칠십리 가요제와 제주어 말하기 대회, 제주 출신 음악가들의 공연 등도 진행됩니다.

특히 축제장소를 종전 서복전시관에서 자구리공원으로 옮김에 따라 주변 칠십리음식특화거리 상가들도 할인 행사에 참여할 예정입니다.
