Yonhap is reporting that South Korea has begun testing its new naval base in Jeju. The Sejong the Great destroyer arrived Wednesday at the port, on which construction is about 89 percent complete, according to the Navy.

The United States warned North Korea on Tuesday not to make a "mistake" that would further isolate it on the international stage. The warning came after the communist nation strongly hinted at the possibility of conducting a nuclear or missile test.
