Drone used to search for Dolgorae victims
Scope of search area widened to include coastal areas of Jeju

Authorities have expanded the area in which they have been using a drone to search for victims of the Dolgorae capsizing.

Jeju City officials say the drone started covering coastal zones and seaside cliffs in Jeju on Friday.

Specifically, it has been patrolling the shores of (비양도) Biyangdo Island in (한림읍) Hallim-eup, (수월봉) Suwolbong Peak in (한경면) Hangyeong-myeon, and the coasts of (애월읍) Aewol-eup and (조천읍) Jocheon-eup.

Monday was the fourth day the drone has been used in the search.

제주도 해안가로 확대됐습니다.

제주시는 실종자 수색에 따른 드론 촬영 범위를 확대하기로 하고
오늘부터 제주도 본섬 해안가와 해안 절벽 등을 중심으로
촬영를 시작했다고 밝혔습니다.

주요 촬영지역은 한림읍 비양도와 한경면 수월봉, 애월읍과 조천읍 해안가 일대 입니다.

제주시는 오늘부터 실종자 집중수색이 마무리되는 오는 21일까지 나흘동안 드론을 활용해 실종자 수색에 나설 계획입니다.
