Local officials, business reps attending Tourism Expo Japan

Local officials are working harder to attract Japanese tourists to Jeju, as part of efforts to expand flagging flight service between here and there.

The province and the Jeju Tourism Organization have sent representatives to the world’s largest travel expo, Tourism Expo Japan, which began Thursday.

The private sector also sent some people: representatives of local hotels and tourism businesses will participate along with the officials.

The local envoys will be meeting representatives of airlines and travel agencies and encouraging them to develop and sell chartered tour packages to the island.

일본 항공노선 정상화를 위해 관광객 유치 활동이 다각화 됩니다.

제주특별자치도와 제주관광공사는 내일(24일) 개막하는 세계 최대규모의 여행 박람회인 '투어리즘 엑스포 저팬'에 참가해 제주 관광 상품을 홍보합니다.

또 도내 호텔 등 관광업계들도 함께 참가해 일본인 관광객 유치를 위한 현장 마케팅 활동을 벌일 예정입니다.

특히 일본 항공사와 여행사를 대상으로 전세기 취항과 연계한 제주여행상품 등을 홍보할 계획입니다.
