400,000 to pass through Jeju International over holidays
17% more than last year

The Jeju office of the Korea Airports Corporation is expecting more than 400,000 people to pass through Jeju International over the holiday weekend.

That total counts a roundtrip traveler twice: once on arrival, and once at departure.

The corporation’s estimate for the five days beginning September 25th is 17 percent higher than the total of 341,000 from last Chuseok.

There will be 2,145 domestic flights and 234 international flights. That includes 98 special domestic flights that will be added to the schedule accommodate holiday visitors.

The corporation is running a special office over the holidays to ensure flight operations are safe and that all passenger facilities and amenities are working properly. It will station medics and an ambulance on the airport’s first floor to deal with any medical emergencies.

추석연휴 제주기점 항공편 40만명 이용…17％ 증가

한국공항공사 제주지역본부는 추석 연휴 전날인 내일부터 대체 휴일인 29일까지 닷새간 귀성객과 관광객 40만여명이 제주기점 항공편을 이용할 것으로 전망했습니다.

이는 지난해 추석 연휴 제주공항 출·도착 항공편 이용객 34만1천여명에 비해 17％ 늘어난 것 입니다.

이 기간 국내선 출·도착 임시편은 98편이 증편돼 모두 2천145편, 국제선은 234편이 운항합니다.

한국공항공사 제주본부는 이 기간 특별교통대책반을 편성해 공항 시설과 장비를 특별점검하고 여객청사 1층에는 응급요원과 구급차를 항시 대기해 응급 환자 발생 시 신속히 대처할 예정입니다.
