Jeju housing construction permits soar
August sees 83.3% jump compared to 2014

Local officials are reporting that the number of housing construction approvals in Jeju has significantly increased.

According to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, the construction of some one-thousand four-hundred and twenty-six households were granted in August alone. That’s up 83.3% compared to the same period last year.

From the beginning of the year through August, authorities issued construction approvals for one-hundred-thousand nine-hundred and fifty-eight households... an 89.9% percent jump from last year.

This spike is reflected in the number of buildings now under construction, with one-thousand two-hundred and eighty-four underway, double last year’s number of six-hundred and forty-seven.

제주지역 주택 건설 인허가 실적이 크게 증가한 것으로 나타났습니다.

국토교통부에 따르면 지난달 제주지역의 주택 건설 인허가 실적은
1천426가구로 지난해 같은 기간보다 83.3 % 늘었습니다.

또 올들어 지난달까지 인허가를 받은 주택은 10만 958가구로
지난해보다 89.9 % 증가했습니다.

주택 착공 실적도 1천 284가구를 기록하며 지난해 647건보다 2배 증가했습니다.
