Jeju to get an ‘open middle school’ in 2016
Classes for 120 students to start on March 1

The Ministry of Education has announced that a new open school will be established in Jeju. Nationwide, an additional seven such middle schools will be newly established in Busan, Incheon, Ulsan, and the Gyeonggi and Jeonnam regions.

Jeju already has an Open University and an Open High School and so when the new middle school opens its doors, the province will boast all three open education facilities.

The new middle school is scheduled to begin classes on March 1st of next year with 120 students in a total of six classes, two classes per grade.


내년 제주에 '방송통신중' 신설

제주지역에 방송통신중학교가 신설됩니다.
교육부는 내년에 제주를 비롯한 부산과 인천, 울산, 경기, 전남지역에 방송통신중학교 8개교를 추가로 신설하기로 했습니다.

이에 따라 제주지역의 경우 방송통신대학교와
방송통신고등학교에 이어 중학교까지 모두 들어서게 됐습니다.

제주 방송통신중학교는 내년 3월 1일에 학년당 2학급씩
전체 6학급에 120명 규모로 개교할 예정입니다.
