Province, JTO seek out visitors from Taiwan
Tour packages, promotions to be developed

Now that the Jeju-Taiwan air route has reopened after the MERS outbreak earlier this year, local authorities are working hard to bring Taiwanese visitors back to the island.

The Taiwanese airline TransAsia Airways, the provincial government, and the Jeju Tourism Organization have jointly invited Taiwan-based travel and media experts to see what the island has to offer.

The group will be shown Jeju’s traditional markets, its World Natural Heritage sites and unique cafes during their four-day itinerary which started Wednesday.

In addition to this introductory tour, local authorities will participate in the Taipei International Travel Fair in November. There are also plans to develop specialized Jeju tour packages and hold a promotional package in partnership with a Taiwanese travel agency.


道·관광공사, 대만 관광객 유치 홍보

메르스 사태로 중단됐던 제주-대만 노선이 운항을 재개함에 따라

제주특별자치도와 제주관광공사는 대만 부흥항공사와 함께 대만 현지 여행전문 언론사를 대상으로 개별관광객 유치를 위한 팸투어를 진행합니다.

팸투어단은 내일(30일)부터 나흘동안
전통시장과 세계자연유산, 이색 카페 등을 둘러보게 됩니다.

이와함께 오는 11월 대만에서 진행되는
'타이베이 국제여전'에 참가해현지 업체와 공동으로
제주 관광상품 개발과 홍보활동을 강화해 나갈 계획입니다.
