Province to purchase land near Seongsan Sunrise Peak
Part of ‘land banking’ initiative

The provincial government plans to buy property around Seongsan Sunrise Peak this year as part of a public land banking project.

The Land Banking Committee convened for a meeting Thursday and decided to acquire roughly 78,000 square meters of land in Goseong-ri, Seongsan-eup. The government plans to use it for green space and parking.

The province will spend 16.7 billion won through the end of 2016 on the the project.

Meanwhile, the government also plans to spend 8.6 billion won on other purchases of land for future use. It will accept offers from landowners interested in selling this month.


道, 성산일출봉 주변 토지 매입

제주도가 올해 토지비축매입 공공사업의 일환으로
성산일출봉 주변 토지를 매입합니다.

제주도는 오늘(1일) 오후 열린 토지비축위원회에서
녹지공간과 주차장조성을 위해 성산읍 고성리 토지 43필지 7만 8천여 제곱미터를 매입하기로 의결했습니다.

이에 따라 내년말까지 사업비 167억원을 투입해
토지매입사업을 진행합니다.

한편, 토지비축매입 일반사업에 대해서는 사업비 86억 원을 투입하기로 하고 이달 중에 공모할 계획입니다.
