Jeongeui Village Traditional Folk Festival this weekend

The 22nd Jeongeui Village Traditional Folk Festival will take place this weekend at the Seongeup Folk Village.

Hosted by the Pyoseon-myeon Seongeup 1-ri village association and organized by the Seongeup Folk Village Conservation Association, the event will include a Jeju dialect play, a folk song contest, a reenactment of a traditional procession, and a parade with a group of traditional instrument musicians.

Also, visitors will be able to try weaving the straw used in traditional houses as well as making customary Jeju work clothes called (갈옷) “gal-ot,” handicrafts, and foods.

정의고을 전통민속재현축제 10일 개막

제 22회 정의고을 전통민속재현축제가 오는 10일과 11일 이틀 동안
서귀포시 표선면 성읍민속마을에서 펼쳐집니다.

표선면 성읍1리 마을회가 주최하고 성읍민속마을보존회가 주관하는 이번 행사는 제주어 연극과 민요경창대회, 정의현감 부임행차 재현,
취타대 행진, 무형문화재 민요공연 등으로 진행됩니다.

또 집줄놓기와 갈옷 만들기, 짚풀공예, 전통음식 만들기 등 다양한 부대행사도 마련됩니다.
