180,000+ visitors expected over long holiday weekend

Local tourism authorities project that more than 180,000 people will visit Jeju over the long holiday weekend.

The Jeju Tourism Association estimate covers the period from Thursday through Sunday. Friday is Hangeul Proclamation Day.

The projection is 17% higher than the total over the same period last year.

More than 86 percent of flight tickets are already reserved. The booking rate for rental cars is 90 percent and for accommodations, 80 percent.

제주특별자치도관광협회에 따르면 한글날 연휴가 시작되는
내일(8일)부터 오는 11일까지 나흘동안
18만 명의 관광객이 제주를 찾을 것으로 예상했습니다.

이는 지난해 같은 기간보다 17퍼센트 증가한 것 입니다.

한편, 이 기간동안 항공편 예약률은 86퍼센트를 넘어섰고
렌터카 90퍼센트, 숙박시설 80퍼센트를 기록하고 있습니다.
