Mandarin Nonghyup begins exporting outdoor-grown fruit
2,000 tons to be shipped to 10 countries this year

The first exports of this year’s outdoor-grown mandarin oranges have begun.

The first batch of 35 tons is headed for Canada. Mandarin Nonghyup says it will be exporting a total of 2,000 tons to 10 countries, which also include the United States and Russia.

That’s 30 percent more than last year, when 1,500 tons were shipped abroad. Mandarin growers are expected to benefit because the price for the fruit has been set at 1,000 won per kilogram.

올해산 노지감귤 수출작업이 시작됐습니다.

제주감귤농협은 캐나다로 수출할 노지감귤 35톤의 선과작업을 시작으로
미국과 러시아 등 10개 국가에 2천 톤을 수출한다고 밝혔습니다.

이는 지난해 1천500여 톤보다 30퍼센트 이상 늘어난 것 입니다.
또 수출 단가는 3.75킬로그램 당 3천750원으로 농가소득에 도움이 될 것으로 전망하고 있습니다.
