Campaign activities restricted

Only 180 days remain until the 20th general election, which is slated for April 13, 2016.

The Jeju Election Commission is restricting campaign activities as of Friday. Candidates will be prohibited from using banners or any other means of advertisement to gain support. Also, institutions, groups, and organizations affiliated with a particular candidate will not be allowed to conduct activities that may affect the polls in the candidate’s electoral district.

The final rule now in effect concerns polling: all surveys must now be registered on the National Election Commission’s homepage prior to publication.


20대 총선 D-180, 각종 선거활동 제한

내년 4월 13일 실시되는 제20대 국회의원 선거와 관련해
180일 전인 내일(16일)부터 각종 선거활동이 제한됩니다.

제주특별자치도선거관리위원회에 따르면 내일부터 선거에 영향을 미치는 현수막 등의 광고물을 설치하거나 게시할 수 없습니다.

또 정당이나 후보자가 설립 운영하는 기관이나 단체, 조직, 시설은
당해 선거구민을 대상으로 선거에 영향을 미치는 행위를 할 수 없습니다.

선거에 관해 정당에 대한 지지도나 당선인을 예상케 하는 여론조사를 공표할 경우 사전에 관련사항을 중앙선관리 홈페이지에 등록해야 합니다.
